Spoil your wife, girlfriend or any woman in your life with these finds

Spoil your wife, girlfriend or any woman in your life with these finds

My suggestion? Make her feel special and spoiled with these sweet-as-can-be buys. (Photo Illustration: Amanda Garrity/Yahoo News; Getty)

There’s a time and a place for flowers and chocolates, but this Valentine’s Day gift guide isn’t one of them. Maybe I’m biased (I’m a Gifting Editor after all!), but I’d argue that there are dozens of thoughtful ways to spell out what’s in your heart. Need some pointers? I’m here with some of my all-time favorite Valentine’s Day gifts for her.

Trending Valentine’s Day gifts for her

Here’s the deal: I don’t know anything about your wife, girlfriend or the lucky lady you’re shopping for, but I do know a great gift when I see one. Rest assured, all of the gift ideas below made my heart skip a beat — there’s the Anthropologie vase that I recently named a Best Gift Ever Awards winner, the Kate Spade shoulder bag that I’m currently eyeing (a hint for my boyfriend), and the celeb-approved eye masks that I use on the daily. Some of these gifts for women are romantic, others skew more practical, but I have no doubt that all of these picks will make her swoon.

Who it’s for: If her love language is words of affirmation

Why I picked it: Your love story is one for the books — and this gift will take things to a literal level. Each page offers a thought-starter (or three) that’ll capture your valentine to a T. Prompts span from their most remarkable traits (um, everything?) to the karaoke song that best sums up your relationship.

Who it’s for: The one with a not-so-green thumb

Why I picked it: Lego flowers are stealing hearts everywhere, and I can see why: Unlike the Valentine’s Day bouquets that arrive at her doorstep, this potted plant will stand the test of time (like your love … right?). It’s a smaller version of the brand’s bestselling build, so it has roughly half the number of pieces (274, to be exact) and some reviewers even say it takes less than an hour to complete. A win for the, er, less patient partners!

Who it’s for: Self-care enthusiasts

Why I picked it: Puffy, tired eyes are no match for these celeb-approved eye masks. Senior Beauty Writer Marie Lodi wrote in our roundup of the best under-eye masks that the “glittery gold design IS the kind of drama I like,” but there’s plenty more than meets the eye here. Yep, these beauties nourish and brighten the delicate under-eye area, all thanks to ingredients like sea moss, hydrolyzed vegetable protein and hyaluronic acid. Each color targets something different — pink moisturizes, gold gives a youthful glow, and blue is packed with niacinamide to illuminate dark circles.

Anthropologie

Who it’s for: The woman who always makes room for pretty things

Why I picked it: Only the best for her, which is why I’m here with one of our Best Gift Ever Awards winners. Like Anthro’s Icon juice glasses (if she knows, she knows), but just the right size to hold some pretty stems. Spring for a vase decked out with sweet signs of the season, from dainty red bows to chocolate-covered strawberries.

Catbird

Who it’s for: The woman who likes to take matters into her own hands

Why I picked it: Tie this bracelet around her wrist, then tell her to make a wish, any wish. When the bracelet inevitably falls off, her wish will come true (or so the story goes). Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!

Who it’s for: Anyone who needs a little nudge

Why I picked it: Think you’ve done and talked about it all? Think again. Take a cue from relationship expert Esther Perel and let these cards guide your conversation during your next at-home date night. All of the prompts will encourage couples to dig deeper — some will take you down memory lane, others will inspire you to look to the future.

Etsy

Who it’s for: Sentimental types

Why I picked it: Toi et moi — meaning “you and me” in French — jewelry is a symbol of two becoming one. And while it’s primarily popular in engagement rings, this dainty dazzler is a sweet way to get in on the trend. Customize it with any two birthstones — yours and hers or your kids’ (if you’ve got two of ‘em, of course).

Who it’s for: The woman overdue for some R&R

Why I picked it: Any Valentine’s Day gift that helps her relax is a winner in my eyes. This little heart pillow has a slight weight to it to soothe overworked eyes, plus it emits a soothing lavender scent to bring another level of calm. Stick it in the microwave for warm relief or freeze it overnight for a welcome cool.

Mark & Graham

Who it’s for: High-flying fashionistas

Why I picked it: Make sure her beloved baubles have a pretty place to rest. Stash rings, earrings and other tiny trinkets inside the drawstring pouch, then tie it shut and zip the outside pouch for extra safekeeping. Personalize it with her initials for an additional $17 — just keep in mind that this will delay delivery by a few days.

BonBon

Who it’s for: Your special someone with a sweet tooth

Why I picked it: I’ve been singing BonBon’s praises for years, and I’m not stopping anytime soon. Skip the heart-shaped chocolates this year and hand over this 1 lb. box of Swedish candy instead. There’s no telling exactly what’s inside (all I know is that it features their bestselling sour and sweet candies), but here’s hoping there’s a BUBS gummy or two.

Kate Spade Outlet

Who it’s for: The one who likes options

Why I picked it: I speak for most women when I say that I’m always happy to see a little something from Kate Spade wrapped with a bow. Play your cards right, and you can snag this petite powerhouse at a pretty stellar discount (it’s normally priced at $329!). Even better: It’s basically two bags in one — she can stick it on her shoulder to show she’s in on the trends or clip on the matching crossbody strap when she doesn’t want to fuss. Stick with the off-white version if she’s big on neutrals or spring for one of the pretty pastels for a subdued pop of color.

Amazon

Who it’s for: The blanket hog

Why I picked it: Heat things up— literally — by wrapping up this top-tested throw. Senior Home Writer Kristin Granero recently put it to the test for her roundup of the best electric blankets and raved that “I could feel the warmth down to my feet when I lay with the top of the blanket at chest level.” It has all the bells and whistles you look for — it’s ETL-certified for safety, plus it has six heat settings (a low of 93°F and a high of 113°F) and an automatic shut-off timer.

The biggest difference between this blanket and the other ones she cozied up with? This one’s reversible — that’s right, it has “a thick, fuzzy top layer and a fleecy underlayer.”

Who it’s for: The woman looking to simplify her makeup routine

Why I picked it: Heart-shaped chocolate boxes are a bit predictable, but what about this beauty stocked with some of Charlotte Tilbury’s favorites? That’s right, she’ll get a lip liner, lipstick and cream eyeshadow in the brand’s beloved Pillow Talk shade, along with a volumizing mascara to really amp up her look. A win for you: You’re getting an $85 value for just $55, which means you’ll have some extra cash for a sweet add-on.

Baublebar

Who it’s for: “Rich moms” (IYKYK)

Why I picked it: A tennis bracelet for under $100? I’m not playing games, I promise. This bezel beauty, available in gold-plated sterling silver or brass, shines bright like a diamond — only without the exorbitant price tag. She can stack it with a bunch of other bracelets or wear it solo for maximum impact.

Bogg

Who it’s for: The gal on the go

Why I picked it: Bogg bags are the OG in a sea of imitators. So, what sets these rubber totes apart from the rest? Well, they’re washable, durable, tip-proof and virtually indestructible. The Baby is the middle of the road option —the size is designed for everyday adventures, with reviewers raving that they use it to schlep stuff to the pool, their kid’s sporting events and everywhere in between.
